Digital Health and Intelligent Medicine Laboratory founded by surgeons, scientists, and engineers from Queen Mary Hospital, HKU, Cambridge and Silicon Valley, formally established in 2018.

AIMed commits to investigate the cutting-edge AI techniques for clinical applications, including: enable AI integrated modelling with applications in fields including optimised surgical planning, 3D printing of personalized implants and robotic surgery navigation; as well as launch standardized and secured clinical big data center for disease progression prediction, automated patient follow-ups and subjects recruitment for clinical research.

Under the leadership of our department head Prof. Cheung Pui Yin Jason, Lab founder Prof. Zhang Grace Teng, and newly promoted RAP Dr. Nan Meng, the Digital Health and Intelligent Medicine Laboratory performs research that intersects many disciplines, infusion with medical practice, including electrical, computer, mechanical, material, etc.  Our mission is to help patients with better care and to help doctors with efficient analysis, planning and timely follow-ups.
